 Retablos: Spanish Paintings from the 14th to 16th centuries

Dating from the end of the 14th century until 1530, the twenty panels presented in this exhibition take us on a tour of the art produced in the Hispanic kingdoms from the last phase of the Italianising period and the beginnings of the International Style until the blossoming of the Renaissance. During this period of about 150 years, European painting underwent major developments, though not always following the same patterns in different regions. We welcome you to discover this fascinating period in the exhibition of panel paintings at Sam Fogg from 1st December 2019 and at Caylus from 1st April 2020.
