Seven Objects, Seven Days Lunchtime Talks
This exhibition presents seven spectacular medieval objects over the seven days of London Art Week's 2018 winter edition. From 1.15-1.30pm each day we will hold a fifteen minute lunchtime talk at the gallery, focusing on a new object every day. All seven objects, together encompassing the genres of metalwork, sculpture, painting, manuscript illumination and textiles, will be united by the theme of design.

December 3rd Designing a Medieval Manuscript: A Book of Hours from Paris.
December 4th Designing an Icon: How Italian religious images evolved over three centuries.
December 5th Fashioning the Home: Lavish decoration for the domestic interior.
December 6th Designing Marriage Gifts: Humour, romance, and private messages of two medieval wedding presents.
December 7th Medieval Design and the Modern Age: the birth of interest in Europe's glorious past during the 19th century.
