These limewood reliefs are attributed to the workshop of Tilman Riemenschneider, who ran one of the largest and most productive workshops anywhere in Germany around 1500. The panels depict the twelve apostles who are recognisable by their attributes but also by the distinctive physiognomies assigned to them.
